Spark Plugs and nitrous READ!
I ran to Auto-Zone with gadzooks for some neato-boffo stuff and...here goes:
Auto zone "Team Member" 1: ...blah blah blah...so I told the guy 'no, no, no, you need a hotter spark plug if you're running nitrous'
Team Member 2: oh...so you should run hotter plugs huh?
member 1: yeah, you have to prevent early detonation
member 2: right on.
So I tell gadzooks to listen and filled him in on the rest of the conversation. Then I ask the guy "What did you say? Should I run hotter or colder plugs with nitrous?"
Team member 1: yeah, you should use hotter plugs, to prevent early detonation.
I think..."hmmm.....WTF?"
So finally gadzooks tries to set him straight, and the guy is arguing with him and telling him "no, you HAVE to use a hotter plug to prevent early detonation and you have to adjust your timing when you run nitrous"
I had to offer gadzooks some cash to shut up and quit arguing with him.
Can anybody tell me what is wrong with what the auto zone guy said?
