I'm sorry, but if your not using engine braking on a race track then you aren't driving correctly and you're surely not pushing your car as hard as what you could.
WytchDctr, what part of Texas are you at and what tracks do you frequent? I've been to Hallett in Oklahoma(just west of Tulsa) and I've ridden as a codriver at MotorSport Ranch. There's a new track being built as we speak north of Dallas that is supposed to start drawing Cart and Indy cars when it's done!!
