Re: A/C hurts performance
Alright.
When the A/C is one it takes about 5hp and 30 torque.
Now a v6 and v8 make more torque. Hence why you dont notice the difference in performance.
If you dynoed the v6 and v8 they would dyno less with a/c on.
If you slap a s/c or turbo on your car. You would not notice the a/c drain like on the v6 or v8.
And yes, the A/C turns off when the TPS is above 70% which indicates Full throttle.
