Synthetic Oil is safe for all cars. Just get the same weight as recommended.
I use Mobil 1 - 10/w30.
Just choose a company and stick with it. It's not good to mix different brand synthetic oils. (ie. Mixing Mobil 1 and Castrol Syntec)
I don't see the benefit of royal purple for it's cost.
