There is no 1.8ltr Beta 2
The Betas are as follows
1.8ltr Beta
2.0ltr Beta
2.0ltr Beta 2
Swapping any of these motors in will be equally as simple.
If you are boosting the motor then the 1.8ltr is supposed to be better, then the 2.0Beta. I wouldn't use the Beta2
As far as a/c or power steering goes, I don't think anyone knows yet.
BTW, this has ben discussed but I am not going to search it for you.
