Default Re: Nitrous Oxide FAQ's

I run nitrous in my Vette. I highly recommend it

It's not as scarey as you might think either, and very simple to install after watching a buddy install it for me. I could do it myself now if I needed to again.

A wet kit is recommend over a dry it as it mixes the nitrous and fuel and directly injects it into the air intake after the MAF, thus giving you a better boost in power compared to a dry kit which goes in befoer the MAF and only sprays nitrous. This leaves your computer to do all the calculations and the gains might not be as good.

the nitrous isn't TOO expensive. I run a 100shot in the vette with a 10lb bottle. Down in Orlando its about $2.50/lb..so after tax it runs me around $26ish per refill.

I get close to a full minute and a half of nitrous use collectively at 100hp. Basically, thats 12 or so runs down a drag strip before the pressure gets too low to use.

With lower jetted nozzles for the imports, it will last a LOT longer.
