Default '99-'01 Sonata V6 Hope! - Potential Supercharger

I own a '99 Sonata GL V6 and '03 Tiburon GS-R.

I have the Alpine Supercharger installed on the Tiburon, and of course the engine cover won't fit nicely anymore. That got me to thinking about my Sonata, and it's engine cover.

Side by side I put the Tiburon and Sonata. The bolts were IDENTICAL. With the exception of the Tiburon of course. It actually had a special bracket that was transferable from the Sonata to the Tiburon. Identical surge tanks, identical everything right down to the oil cap (I could change them and they fit).

Since I had done the supercharger install on the Tiburon, I decided to take a look at the intake manifold and the surge tank on the Sonata. They were identical. I never measured the openings on the intake manifold for comparison sake but they seem to be the same.

Therefore, I am not about to tear apart the entire supercharger install from my 2.7L and see if the supercharger fits on the 2.5L. What I WILL do is take my old surge tank from the 2.7L and compare it to the 2.5L, when I get it back. As well I hope to see if I can bolt it right up! As long as this matches up (which I can almost guarantee it), those of you looking for 2.5L performance will have the Alpine Supercharger option!!!

As I get parts in for my Tiburon, I also hope to see if they fit on the Sonata as well. Minus of course the difficult installs like flywheels and obviously clutch (cause automatics don't have clutches).

This has mostly all been brought on because my little bro has taken over on the car and is looking to modify it performance wise (its technically a free car for him and he's working part time).
