you can still switch the wheels, but it will cost you. Currently cars with these systems use either a band with a sensor wraped around the wheel -think big ass hose clamp around the inside of the wheel- or a tire pressure sender in the valve stem. Regardless if you want to keep it when switching wheels it would be about 250-300 dollars a valve stem for that system. The bands can just be switched. Of course with time, and being mandated the cost will eventually go down.
