Default X3 beta swap and pulley clearance

I've noticed one of the possible issues when swapping a beta motor into an Accent is the close fit of the pulleys and belts to the frame. I could notch the frame out and weld in a patch or I could move the setup towards the drivers side a small amount. I will be using a beta motor and beta trans. The drivers side axle needs to be cut down some so moving it over and cutting it down some extra to compensate seems the easiest thing to do. My concern is what happens to the passenger side axle, will it need to be longer? What other possible options are there? I really don't want to pull the motor to change the belt.
