Hi,
I have the V6 Ltd AWD, and really like it. I've had the Tucson for about 9-10 months, and have put a bunch of miles on it - about 18K. It's not quite as 'refined' as the '07 Santa Fe that my wife has been driving for about a year now. But for my purposes, the Tucson has a comfortable and relatively quiet ride, has decent power, and has been reliable. I know it gets real good safety ratings, but I'm not sure how much higher those ratings are versus the Accent..(?). The standard ESC, the AWD, and the fact that it's a little bigger/heavier, might place it a little higher.

The milage has been OK - I'm averaging 21mpg with the V6 Ltd.
Good luck with your search!
