The block is identical to the 1.8 and the 2.0. The bore x stroke is 77.4 x 85. As I dissasembled the block today, I can see that it can be overbored to 82mm to match the bore of the 1.8 and 2.0. My question here is this: Will the crankshaft-rods fit the block? It's like taking a 1.8 block and fitting 2.0 rods and crankshaft. Can this be done to the 1.8? If so, it can be done to the 1.6 as well.
