Actually I already have a 2.0 and I needed one more engine for toying with. Anyways, the block is in the machinery shop for overboring. As I checked out, the 1.6 can be transformed to 1.8 beta as the only difference is the piston bore. 77.5 (1.6) against 82mm (1.8). I already have stock 1.8 pistons and rods. The crankshaft is identical to the one the 1.8 uses. So , I'm making the engine from 1.6 to 1.8. That's a gift to my dad's Elantra
