Default Speed odometer problem

Every so often the speedometer sits at zero while im driving. When it sits at zero, if i turn on my turn signal or caution signals, the needle flickers. First I thought it was possible that the engine might need to warm up because of the cold weather, but thats not it. Please let me know if you can tell me anything.

Thanks in advance.
