Hey Doc

I hope that you are doing well.

I am on thyroxine (synthroid replacement tablet) and I only have ½ thyroid from surgery. I am always craving salt and I think my thyroid is not producing enough iodine.

I heard that it is not good to take iodine (kelp) and the thyroxine together, is this true?

When I heard that it’s not good to take both the kelp and the thyroxine together, I stop taking the kelp and I am now starting to gain weight and I am craving salt.

I am wondering if I need to take a supplement for the iodine…
