On the brake warning light issue, check the thickness of the pads. As they wear, the caliper pistons travel farther in their bores and this means that they will contain more brake fluid. Where does it come from? The master cylinder, of course. As the fluid at low level sloshes in the reservoir, the low fluid level switch will close and open, making the light go on and off. Put a couple of ounces of brake fluid in it and see if the problem is affected. And if the pads are badly worn, replace them ASAP!
