In the end the Elantra will prolly have more power, because it starts out with more than the Accent and there is alot of stuff out already for the Beta engine. I don't think their will be enough support for the Sonata. You could with a sonata if you wanted more power in the beginning, but then you'd prolly have to start getting stuff custom made.

The Elantra would be the way to go or the accent if you want to do a motor swap.

The Beta motor has the best aftermarket support and it will be that way for a while. It is also the choice of motors from the Hyundai Rally teams.:smoking:

Why not go for a 2003 Tibby. I'd get the 4 cyl because there's more support right now for it than the 6 cyl.

Depends on what you're looking for. Sounds like you might be looking to modify it?

I bought an Accent because of the price, but with the miles I put on it (and my previous car) I should've gotten into a Sonata

I love my accent, minus the clutch, pizza cutter wheels, and stock struts. Gonna change it all anyways though...:

sonata, v6,,,, i would get that, get rims and exhaust, intake, dark windows, debadging, spoiler,(not rice spoiler), nice nice torque and horsepower, it would be a real nice looking sleeper, and get some nos.

all that sounds nice and all but which way would be the least expensive but more fun to modify to the extreme if you know what i mean. id like to set one up for street racing and for show.:rambo:
