I've been looking for a good website to find some decent preformance parts for my accent, and i hacen't been able to find anything other than sharkracing.com, and i really don't know if some of what they have will work in my car. (ya see i'm rather inept with cars, very basic knowledge) i'm really looking for a good CAI. any ideas of sites that have accent parts??
Kore did have a cai out for the LC accent (2k+), but they quit producing if for now beacuse they are going to re-design it. You can try and make your own out of either flexible exhaust tubing or some mandrel bent tubing.
thanks for those sites, i'll have to puruse them later, any other ideas as to get "quick and easy" hp gains?? also, how bout a place that has some indiglo face gauges for the 2000 accent. i haven't been able to find any. does anyone know if street glows racing pedals (or any neon pedals for that matter) will fit the accent???
for quick and easy, you could get a nitrous kit if you wanted. Those street glow pedals I thought were pretty universal. As for indiglo face guages, I haven't found any other that in stock ones now on some 2k1 GS and GL and the 2k2 GS and GL.
What I did for my instrument lights, I just replaced the bulbs behind the cluster.
Both the intake and the exhuast are horribly restricted. Try opening them up. A good 2" mandrel bent exhuast with a straight through muffler and a CAI (either KORE's, SR's, HVE's, or your own) should be a nice gain. Also, try to find another intake manifold and throttle body and have them bored out by a good machine shop in your area. Another good part is HVE's 4-1 ceramic coated header.

yea, i've seen a lot of people say that getting a CAI from KORE, headers from Sharkracing, and exhaust from (uuumm i forget) would help a lot. my only question is how hard are these installs to do? ive also heard a lot of talk about putting in a new BBTB. anyone have ideas how hard these all are to do, and any other places to get them??
they are actually some of the easiest mods you will do to your car. i'd get a muffler shop to put the exhaust on, and depending on how competent you are the header too. the cai and bbtb are simple to install and if you need help you always got the boards.
