does anyone know what the "weak link" is in the DOHC 1.6L motor? I'm kinda curious at what power level things start to break inside, and what goes first. Rods? Pistons? Piston rings? Bearings?
And how sturdy is the factory 5 speed tranny?

I'm going with the rings, if not the pistons themselves, at 10psi. Thats when Suprgtr's pistons broke i believe... Jeff mind telling us about the wife's setup one more time?:nervous:

I know, but no one's really tried to break the 1.6L yet so I'm just going by what happened on the old version of my engine. Maybe one day i'll get a second 1.6L to take apart and test...

If I could get ahold of a 2.oL, tranny and ECU, I would let you know real quick what would be the first to break in the 1.6L. I'd turn the boost Waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy up and watch the sparks fly.
Anyone got one they would like to donate??? LOL
