Is that true... read it somewere that the 1.5 goes away next year.

That would not surprise me too much. There is no sense in keeping the 2 engines!

Yep. I read that in my new Road&Track I just got. The 1.6L is standard on all new Accents... Too bad the 2.0L isn't an option..

NO Doubt! That would be sweet! Accents would be cut'n loose with the 2.0L!:smoking:

Well dudes, what ive heard is that down here in AUS our 1.5L DOHC engines in the accent, are being replaced by a 1.6 DOHC....and the new Getz which comes here soon will getz (sry..had to do it hehe) the 1.5L DOHC engine, though power will be down from 76kw (102hp) to 74kw. They've prob. just put the intake sumwhere else so it sucks less cold air or sumthin!

Anyways..theres food for thought!
