Default Pivot air/fuel controller

Okay heres the problem. When hooking up the controller to the map or afc does it have to be right at of buy the ecu or does it really matter. The way my system works is it takes the the map or afc (whatever you want to call it) signal from in the computer and then back out to the sensor itself. The way i see it if the controller is just amplifing the signal then i think the distance from the ecu really doesn't matter. If anyone knows more about this please offer your input.

Also if anyone plans on ordering anything that is made by pivot you better know japanesse. The whole instructions where in japanesse, and no they don't make them in english took me 4 hours to translate 6 words. Some was translated by the neirest shusi shop. And the rest was a long process on the net and i mean long. I had to even resort to going on honda sites. Ahhhh.

Can't help with you problem but have a couple of questions though. First, what year/engine is your car? Did your kit come with the ECU pin configuration for your car? And, what made you go with this manufacturer instead of the others?

Been thinking about hooking up a piggy back computer but don't have the balls to be the first to try it. Good luck!

1sickgs, i have a 2000 accent, the reason i went with this is becuase my work is a dealer for spw and we just started carring products for them. My boss told me (since my car has become the shop demo car for the products we sell) I can get one for cheaper than cost. I needed one anyways becouse i need something to lean the fuel allittle at wot. My nitrous wasn't boosting at full potential, becuase i was running super rich. I'm going to the 0-3000 rpm's +2% and for 3000-5500rpm's -2% to -4%. For the pins #'s i went to my hyundai dealer and had them run a copy of my whole ecu wiring diagram. Let me be the first to say that piece of paper has come in handy more than one time. If your wireing your ecu use solderless connections. That makes the hardest part finding the wires. Which with the diagram is not hard at all. You will be alright wiring into the ecu it is not that bad. I done it 8 times for different meters, and contollers. in the accent get the ecu wires right behind the cd player the wires are much more organized and easier to get to there. You'll need to be carefull removeing the wire loom.

Also nice to see your still around i haven't seen your car since hyundai tuner days if i remember right. Is it true you got bags. My air struts are almost done. Pics soon to come.
