hey everyone whats up,
I don't know if any of you have been having problems with you'll transmission, about 4 weeks ago the fuel tank was recalled for my hyundai and i had to bring it in, then i came home from college one week and there was a rattling coming from the cam shaft, i took it to the dealer and found that the chain that connects the two cam shafts broke, i go that fixed, no i have noticed that when the car has been driven for a while and you press the gas a little hard the whole car shutters, i thinks its the transmission, have any of you heard of problems like this?
ps: all the problems are bad but i ahve a 10 year premium warrenty, so its all be free but its still a bit of inconviennce.
Holy crap! Dude if the timing chain broke and you had only that replaced, there is a pretty damn good chance that the vlaves slammed the pistons and you got a leak.Either the valves have been slightly bent or one or more of the valves are off-centre on their seats resulting in an air leak. That would explain the symptoms you deescribe.
DOHC Accent? We dont get those back home, pic of the engine please?

I'm supprised they only had to replace the chain. I would feel that if the chain broke they would have to at least reset the cam postion at the very least. You very well could have some internal problems. I'd take it back to service to have them check it out.
