Default E- Brake Handle

Hey everyone I want to buy a ebrake handle cover just to spice up my interior a bit. But Im unsure how to do it on the accent, our handle has a big rubber piece covering it. If I cut this rubber off & slipped on the new cover do you think it would fit or not? Has anyone tried this simple mod yet and if so explain what you did.
Thanx

You could do that or you can get a pair of Vice-Grips & grab on to the rubber handel you were referring to...give in a good turn while you pull & it should come off. Repeat if necessary. There are several "universal" p/brake handels out there.

Hope this helps ya out! Happy Tuning!!!:

I don't think it would be too easy to replace the ones on our cars. if you look at it it curves!

As for taking it off all you need is a hairdryer. Warm up the rubber(to loosen the glue) then just pull it right off!

i tried the vice grips and the hair dryer and i couldn't get the thing off. i ended up just cutting it off. i figured if i was putting a new one on why do i need the old? i bought a carbon fiber one made for an integra and it fits perfect. good luck.

Yea I was worried about the curved part of it also I though that might be a problem finding a replacment. How does the acura one look, can u post a pic & which one is it exaclty ?? Also with the acura one you have does it interfere with the button on top at all?

Yeah it fits fine. the metal frame is small and i don't remember if there is much of a curve to it or not. but it fit. sorry but i don't have any pics but i got the handle off ebay i'm sure you could find one there. i didn't have any probs with the button at all but this was the second handle i tried. then i put an ebrake boot on it. hope this helps.

No not yet, but all the info you guys posted helped. Now I wont be so nerveous to buy a new handle. I was worried that I would have messed up my original handle and the new one wouldnt fit. Then id be stuck with a sliced up handle which would look super ghetto.

Its my birthday this month so if i get some extra money I might order the handle I'l let everyone know how it turns out.
