Just cut your shifter like i did, it works fine...

the thing with the short shifter, is that it comes in a color, but who cares, you don't see it cause usely you have a leather cover so

juste cut your shifter....it doesn't cost anything and it's faster and you can cut it where you want, with a shirt shifter kit, it's one size only and it's expensive for nothing

I'm unsure about HVE, but the RPW short shifter actually changes the height and the throw of the whole assembly. It makes a big difference on all Hyundai's. I know with the Excel it shortens the Side to side movement and the front to back a little bit.

FYI: HVE supplies headers, short shifters, and other parts to RPW.

This is not the purpose of a short shifter. While some do shorten the shift rod itself, they are made to shorten the throw of each shift.

Like on a Tib, I believe the B&M shortens the throw of each shift up to 40%.

Yeah, 40% on the Tibby and quite a bit more on other Hyundai. A short shifter is a MUST.

short shift from HVE is the next mod im getting.........$280 fully installed and it 1/2's the throw and the length of the stick. cutting it only makes the stick shorter, but some ppl argue its shortens the throw as well....who knows???? u may as well pay for the good stuff the first time....get it done right the first time!!!!!!
