My CEL is gay

this past saturday on my way home from work i noticed my Check engine light was on. So i immediately get nervous, i turn off the stereo and start listening, smelling, etc. but i didn't find anything weird or wrong. i pull over, let it sit for 10min and the light is still on. Its been on since, is there some sort of Accent cpu chip malfunction? a recall, or something? or should i take it to the dealer? well anyway my CEL is gay.

Just because you CEL is giving you a code does not mean that you are going to notice anything wrong with it right away.

Yeah, mine did that a couple times. Pretty dumb for a brand new car.. the only thing I had to do was reset my ECU (unplug the - terminal on your battery for ~15mins) and it always disappeared. It only happened a couple times, if it's persistant, take it to the dealer, that's what your warantee is for! I would've taken mine in, but my dealership is run by a bunch of assclowns and it takes them a week to do simple stuff like look at my car...
