Default Accent GSi owners

just want to take a count on how many other GSi owners are in here. and what mods they have done. i had quite extensive mods all the way down to zex nitrous took it all out for now except for the 240 deg cam. im currently building a new cold air intake which is a dificult task considering im auto and have no damn room for anything at all hehe. i did it before but am trying to update it and make more gains. my exhaust system is off right now too. im replacing the old one with a HVE exhaust. and hve header. does anyone know of any upgrades for the auto tranny? maybe a different torque converter or anything really?

did you just lose to an auto 4spd? i think you did...

I assume GSi is the same as my 99 GS.

1999 Accent GS Silver Mist 2-Door
-1.5 SOHC Engine
-15inch Pacer 5-star silver finish rims
-car bra
-blackout tail light covers
-35% black window tint
-powersteering removed.
-TenzoR Type2K Carbon Fiber case muffler w/ removable silencer
-blue display cluster inside car
-sunroof
-sunroof visor
-rear top of hatch visor from Sharkracing

Comming Soon:
-foglamps from HDK if they ever arrive
-mudflaps from HDK if they ever arrive
-rainvisors from HDK if they ever arrive
-headlight blackouts if they ever arrive

I also have some primer/paint/finish that I will be using to turn the silver bar that goes around my windows black to match the rear side windows.

Same difference in USA maybe, not in Canada..
. GS has 1.5L SOHC
. GSi has 1.6L DOHC

(at least according to the HyundaiCanada website)

it may be the same as the 2000 and up model gs but not 99 and below gs. but it doesnt matter i just wanted to see what mods some of you had done. im not trying to say gsi is better or anything like that. i was just curious as to how many others are on here.<img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

2000+ Canadian GSi = 2000+ US GS

As for the X3 GSi, it is pretty much the GT withouth the 1.5L DOHC.

What US GSI? I asked the dealer about any other models avalible, they said it was only the base, gs, and gl. 1.6 being standard on all gs's and gl's. Also why is it not on Hyundais american site. And how does it have the same supension as the tiburon. If you haven't noticed the tib is a little bigger than an accent.

Uh, notice I said X3 Accent GSi which would be 95-99. The U.S. GSi was available in '98 and '99. I never said it had the same suspension as a Tib, I said it has the same suspension as an Accent GT, which was made in '96 and '97. Read that again.
