Default dipstick to find the dipstick

Now i know that this is going to sound really stupid but i have a 1997 hyundai accent gt, and i cannot find the dipstick to check the trans fluid anywhere, if there is one can someone help me out and tell me where i've looked everywhere (even the trunk)<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>

Have you found it? I have a 97 gt auto and I think its a yellow dipstick near the right side of the engine close to the battery... I think. Hope I could help.

Just so you know I think if you have manual transmission there won't be a dipstick. There is a completely different way of checking the fluid if you have a manual transmission.

There is a plug near the wheel well. Its not the one on the bottom.. its on the side. Take off that plug and see if you can touch it. the fluid that is. Its in the owners manual how far from the plug it should be but if ya can't feel it its normally a bad thing.

to check my fluid in my manual excel I have to take a bolt off the transmission and still my pinky finger in to see where its at <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
