More on 1.6 S/C kit

Ok, I finally recieved an e-mail back from alpine. Basically what he ended up saying was we need to generate a lot of interest for there to be a kit made. So i'm going to go around to some performance shops and talk to as many accent owners as I can find that might be interested. So if anyone here is interested in this kit e-mail sbelanger@alpine-developments.us and tell him you are interested in the 1.6 accent s/c kit and that you would like to be put on the list for any new information on it.

i emailed them on sunday and got this response today=

At this moment, we did not plan on developing a forced induction package for the 1.6L Hyundai Accent. We do however have a client in Cypress/Greece, that has asked us to develop a supercharger package for this vehicle (due to tax restrictions on large displacement engines). Whether or not this comes to fruition, and we can bring over here to test fit on U.S. smogged vehicles, try and get CARB certified to bring to market here, is still up in the air. We should have some news on this before the end of the year.

I've had several other inquiries about this, and will keep in a separate folder, so that I can update any of you who have inquired when we have any new information on this application to pass on.
