They sell a "kit" on eBay that supposedly does that but I think it's complete B.S. Check it out if you're interested. Other than that I don't believe there is any other way of doing it unless you just want to replace the whole ECU with a performance one, try http://www.powerchipgroup.com/index.asp?c=1
Good luck.

youre somewhat correct except when you say 'basically'. it is EXACTLY only a resistor to run between + and - terminals of the air temp or (in my case they said) the map sensor. yeah i tried it when i was young and stupid about 6 months ago lol for 5 bucks or something. i only had it on for 20 min on my way to work when i pulled up to a stoplight and idled at about 2300k. and yes i reset the ecu and all that good stuff; let it idle for a while by itself and no cel. but once i started driving it threw the cel and fubared my idle. didnt have patience to mess with it plus teh prongs on teh resistor were not even long enough to fit in teh plug harness like they discribed so the connecter was only halfway on. i do believe there was still good contact even when i took it off and threw it in a ditch! unplugged my battery for 5 min (only 5 coz i had to get to work!) and my cars been fine since. this was on a 2k2 1.6 with CAI btw but those resistors are only sold to have a 2000% markup because i dont care what they advertise they talk out their ass cos resistors like that can be bought for 10 cents in bulk like they probably do; just to charge you 5-40 dollars for it. this mod was only intended to make money for the seller. literally. even if you DO get a gain you will lose gas mileage and i see no way this could give more than 1 horsepower if that. especially on an engine designed to run so rich at high rpm anyway.
sorry for going off like that but as i evolve from noobie/ricer to a true tuner i will share my experiences to help out!! plus that really really pi$$ed me off when i got the package because as soon as i opened it (it was in a letter; not even ups or in a box!) i knew there was no gain to be found here.

Hyundais typically run rich from the factory, so you'll just make it worse and lose power

buy a cold air intake, and some of the other stuff you notice on other members' cars, and you'll be a lot happier
