It all depends on the mechanics doing the job. Some can do it in 8 hours some need 20. Also you have to factor in problems.i.e. stuburn bolts, broken pieces, sutff like that.

My brother in law and i were able to change motors in a '88 caprice(307 c.u.i) in about 22 hours. That was in the driveway in minus 20 wether. We reneted a space heater to keep our hands warm in between working.

Just down the street!! j/k

Think of it this way... B.C. shares a border with Seattle. Quebec (where Laval is) shares one with Maine/Vermont.

cost of engine + probably like $400 or so labor since it's the same engine it is fairly simple. just a drop in and hook up affair.

I know it isn't that easy but if you have to put a new engine in put in a Beta!

hehe that was just one of those, it really doesn't matter how far away it is stupid things to ask. Now Marten, a guy interested in leather seats of mine, he might be a person from canada that I should investigate. Stupid as it sounds I was at work this morning and saw the pic of para john and hitman and had say somethin about it... anything, the resemblence is amazing.

But back to engine swapping, Im dropping a different beta in tomorrow. How long do you think this might take? I've never done anything this big before and now I'm doing and engine/auto to manual tranny swap. Am I stupid?
