ok can someone help me wit this....i have a 97 hyundai accent gs and i recently put a new air intake pipe with filter.my check engine light came on and since ive put my air intake, when i tap very lightly on the gas pedal the car stalls and then turns off....reminder this only happens when i tap very lightly on the pedal.i was told it could be the mass air flow sensor...i changed that and no help.any other suggestions on what it could be?please help me:disappointed:
did you make sure you put everything back in place? did you put the mafs back? did you put the temp sensor back? is everything air tight so nothing else can get in?

everything seems to be air tight, the mafs is of course on and yes the arrow is pointing towards the t.b.,as far as the temp sensor it is connected to the pipe i have the air filter on,i have seen other posts and i c people r talking about it can be the oxygen sensors...can that be the possible problem if not does anyone have any solutions?:ermm:
well ive tryed resetting the ecu like 100 times and still get no result...has anyone had this problem or something like it...if so how the helldid u fix it?any suggestions please post.thanx.
ok i went to the mechanic today to have my problem chekced out.he did a engine check for me and all that came out was everything about my air intake....the only thing he said was try getting a new tsp sensor and if that doesnt work then i should put bac my stock crap....i want to keep my air intake....would it help if i put the filter directly to the mafs?right now i have it like this...filter,intake pipe, mafs, stock rubber thingy<have no idea what to call it>then throttle body.any suggestions?
It`s O.K. to fit your filter directly to the MAF pipe, but you must run a cold air feed from behind the grille almost up to the filter (See my engine-bay pic).
When you re-set the ECU, remove the battery earth lead, switch on ignition & press brake pedal for 20 secs...this discharges the capacitors. Now drive very sportily for 30 mins to get aggressive fuelling / timing curves. Best to do all this with a fully warmed-up engine.:
if i reset my ecu like this, what will it do for my problem and thanx for the suggestions...oh yea one more thing i have no idea about that cold air feed from behind the grill...how do i do it and wha does it do to help?
