Man I can not get this thing apart and I was all excited about it today, Ive tried boiling water, oven at 200 degrees but I just cant seem to get it apart!!!!!!!!!! ARGH
I replied already, and please do not use the oven again, lol... this is bad, you might warp your plastic entirely... did you get my emails?
P.S. I just realized you have an accent, remember I have a tibby, so the assembly might be different, I've never really looked at an accent headlight... but I don't see why it would be different.
Sounds really crazy but what if he filled up his bathtub full of hot water ?? Like get the water temp as hot as possible and then fill it up & let the headlights sit in there for a while. It'll give him plenty of room for them to soak in and the water will prob stay hotter than lets say a big pot, also less chance of anything really mad happening to them (warping, melting, yellowing etc..). Sounds wierd but the idea popped in my head u got nothing to lose.
AHHAHA i did the bathtub idea didnt work BUT as always, Batlord to the rescue, I used the hairdryer on high and boom came off a lot easier! Thanks again Batlord..ok back to the project at hand!
not bad...is that charcoal or black? also, I assume you used a glossy paint, or at least put several coats of clear on it?
