Default Replacment instrument panel

I was wondering if it is possible to swap the instrument panel from a 01 Accent GS to a 01 Accent GL?

I really want a tacho but I don't want a external one so I'm wondering if I could get the instrument panel instead.

If anyone knows where I can get one and if it is possible to swap them that would be great.

Ta.

yes, it will bolt right in. You'll want to pop the frame and the clear front out, and then there are 4 screws to hold the odometer/speedometer into the middle. You'll want to do this to keep your odometer reading correct. Then it is simply a bolt in affair.

banshee is from down under....you know they always do things different in OZ!

that's the cool thing about hyundai....they seemed to like the idea of being able to swap stuff directly between trim levels. :hmmm: :

a dealer or hyundai will want money out the yin yang!!!! just because of the odometer thing....if you get one from a junkyard and swap it yourself....it will cost less than 1/10th of what hyundai would want.

im from the land of OZ and i know that you'll find it very difficult to find hyundai accent parts at the wreckers let alone such a specific part. i think, but im not sure, HVE does a replacement dash for the accent, im not sure but i think it adds the tacho (i know it adds the 'face' for the tacho). appart from this you'll have to source the part from the dealer, costing you a pretty penny. a cheaper option, which you stated you didn't like, is to go with the 'external' tacho. this could be mounted anywhere in the car and it doesn't have to be the massive 5" shift lite, it could be simply a 2.5" and this could be hidden lower in the car. QUESTION: why don't you like the 'external' guages?

I don't like the external ones in my accent, I like them in my RX7 but not in my accent......and my old man would have a fit if I put a external on in and I doubt he would notice if i put a replacment dash in
