Default Progressive turbo setup?

I was just wonder, I may buy another low mileage LC soon. Is there a way to get a to boost the 1.6 on stock internals? I mean low boost with plans of upgrading later. I was just wondering if there was a way for a low boost setup at first then as money comes in upgrade internals to upgrade boost. How much would it cost for the initial setup and what would I need? I figure at least, S-AFC, intercooler, turbo, manifold, and probably some pipes. Would I need a BOV for low boost? How much boost can the stock engine hold? Just curious because I want to boost it, but kind of progressive so as more money comes in I can rework internals etc. So basically my questions is, how much stock boost could I run, what would I need, and how much would it cost? Thanks

Default Re: Progressive turbo setup?

As far as how much boost, it will vary from engine to engine, but as of right now on my 1.6L I'm running 8 PSI with Elantra Fuel injectors and a SMT5 (samething basically as a S-AFC). before the upgrade in the injectors I was running 5 PSI on stock everything. It will run a little bit lean on the top end, so be careful. Once I get some larger injectors and a 2 bar MAP sensor, I plan on taking it to 10 PSI daily driven. But that is gonna take some dyno time.
