Re: Compatible parts for Scoupe ls 92
Hi Donchichi,
Welcome to the forums.
1. Suspension
Spring and shocks from the Series I (1990-1992) & Series II (1993-1996) are the same. Shocks, Spring, Camber Kits, and Strut Braces are all readily available.
2. Bumpers/side skirting (bodykits)
Not a lot availabel here, tho you may like to check out http://www.ath-hinsberger.com/e/frame1e.htm. The factory fitted side skirts from the Series II S-Coupe should also fit, but you will also need to get the side panels for it to look right.
3. Engine parts (mitsubishi engine?)
Yes, your engine is a Mitsubishi engine. You may like to try www.rpw.com.au, who are in Perth Australia. They do a lot of Mitsubishi parts. If you are due for a new engine, you may like to try getting a Mitsu 4G61T 1.6 DOHC Turbo and gearbox, which should come close to being a straight bolt in, or even try to get a Mitsu 1.5 MIVEC engine (maybe someone can help us out of if this has been done, and how easily it went in.)
4. Gear box
See above
5. rims
Any will fit, as long as they are the right offset. Aim for 38mm, however generally 40mm are fine. The S-Coupe is a great car, in that there is ample room for mags to fit within the gaurd, so even when lowered 2-3 inches, a set of 7 or 7.5" wide mags shouldn't scrape at the rear. The X3 Excel/Accent is a real pain in this regard, as even a set of 15*6" rims with 195/50/15 tyres will often run at the rear.
6. spoiler
Being pretty much a flat bootlid, there are literally hundreds of types to choose from, especially if your S-Coupe doesn't already have a spoiler fitted (as there will be no old holes to cover). As a rule of thumb, try to keep the spoiler so that it's overall height (from bootlid to the highest point) is no more than 50% of the length of the wing (the front most point to the rear most). If the wing sits too high relative to the length of the wing, it will look awkward)
7. other parts
What did you have in mind???
Hope this helps you out.
Cheers
