Default 1.6 DOHC ECU????????

So does anybody knows if the 1.6 dohc ecu fits on a 1.5 sohc and if it makes any diference on the performance of the car???? Thanks for the help

Almost forgot ... Or is there any other hyundai car ecu that fit the 1.5 sohc that can give me more performance???????

No it won't work. The 1.6's computer has different functions than the one the 1.5 uses.

they're totaly differnt for one thing one's map and other is MAf....

Umm, you should already have on in your passenger footwell since its a 2002 GL...aranoid: All GL's and GS's after 2001 came with the 1.6L DOHC.

Any decent junkyard should have a used one if thats what you mean.

Hey...so for my car...the 1.6, what types of ECUs can i put into it???can i put any type of car witha 1.6 liter or something???if any..cause i doubt there are any ECUs for my car....which ones can fit into my ECU??thanks

ECU`s are vehicle-specific! They are pre-programmed with all the parameters & data required to run your engine as intended by the manufacturer.
If you put in a unit from a different vehicle, it wouldn`t run at all.....just as transplanting a monkey`s brain into your head would not be a success.....ON SECONDTHOUGHTS!!!....

My mods.(180 crank bhp.) include: cold air induction (with 12v fan & ram air), dump valve, FSE fuel pressure regulator, strut brace, rear (+2.5") spacers, Spax lowering springs & Pedders shocks. Subaru bonnet scoop & upgraded cockpit. Custom 2.5" exhaust with twin 4" tailpipes & 15"x7" alloys . Intercooler fitted + manual boost controller & oilcooler.
