Default Noisy engine !?!

from saturday my engine make a differents sound, it sound like a diesel engine !
It make more noise!
The engine go just like before, same performance... everything just noisy (diesel engine sound)

Do you have an idea what could cause that ? valve ? I have to change my oil pump soon(leak) can it be that ? really dont know, go to garage soon ...

maybe your donut is burned out, my was burned out and i replaced and it sound it like new again until it burned up again now i gotta replace it again.

im sure he is meaning an exaust gasket . inspect your pipes for blackened parts witch would indicate a leak or your flex pipe is breaking or it could be your valves

when my motor was sounding like that i needed oil. i just put in the needed oil and it sounds like a new motor.the dumb girl that i bought it from had it a quart low. dont get me wrong there are some girls that are smart about car like my g/f its just rare that u meet one of thoes

when you say diesel noise? Are you talking about tapping or tickticktick from the head?


If so, its your HLAs. Go get GUNK engine cleaner. and change your oil. I also recommend going to a semi synthetic. dino oil sucks.

Ice, if your oil pump needs replacing, surely this is why your engine is showing the classic signs of low oil-pressure?.uzzled:

My mods.(180 crank bhp.) include: cold air induction (with 12v fan & ram air), dump valve, FSE fuel pressure regulator, strut brace, rear (+2.5") spacers, Spax lowering springs & Pedders shocks. Subaru bonnet scoop & upgraded cockpit. Custom 2.5" exhaust with twin 4" tailpipes & 15"x7" alloys . Intercooler fitted + manual boost controller & oilcooler.
