Default MOVED: Engine ticking

My engine is making a ticking sound from under the valve cover, it tick about 2 time a second. I have also lost some power and fuel mileage is down. Anyone have an idea what is wrong?

The car is a 96 Accent 1.5L sohc.

you might have bad HLA's, our cars have hydraulic lifters and if they are oil starved or messed up they start to tick
