Default hmm what if, lol

to all accent owners,
i was wondering if well if you have money you can do anything but besides the point how hard would it be to to drop a 6cly tib or elantra engine into a accent size and all that i was wondering how difficult would it be, motor mounts, all the room for ac,alternator, etc, etc, a friend of mine dropped a 302 in his ford ranger so i think that anything is possible.so besides that what else do they got on the market for accents i mean i've seen whats in shark, kore, hve, but why can't get stuff for our cars like they've got for honda's,toyota's,mitsubishi's i mean wtf????? i just wish that there could be more out there for us, i've looked all over the net and there is not much out there so i guess you've got to work with what you can get.this ain't to offend anyone but i just like to have a little competition with the other imports:chinese:

ok... just got some crazy errors when trying to post....good thing I copied it

eitehr way....

a hyundai can be just as nice, if not nicer, than any honda out there

whatever car you own, it's all a matter of creativity, detirmination... and FUNDAGE. Gotta have the money to do this usually

Either way, there IS more substantial stuff for the accent engines, such as NOS kits.. and I THINK a turbo

you could also think of an engine swap. There are other engines (don't remember what they are) that fit perfectly into the accent, and they have much more stock power as well as potential

hope this helped a bit

remember this one thing though, since it's much harder to mod a Hyundai... especially accents and Excels moreso... it would be so much better to show it off when it's all nice and fast 8D

I think jerkitt was referring to the Beta Swap. Do a search on it (Search funtion is in the upper right corner of this page) and you'll get loads of info.

To add a note, turbos and s/c are coming, and there are some already available, but you have to be indirect contact with the manufacturers of the stuff, as they don't sell the stuff in an advertising kind of way yet.

Again, do some searches here and talk to the Accent owners with Turbos, and S/Cs.

I've put a V6 under the hood of a 2000 Accent for a customer of mine. However, doing this was not exactly easy. I had to change the engine/tranny mounts, struts/springs, modify the inner fenderwells, radiator support, wiring, and axle shafts to make the V6 work.

Sure, A V8 would fit, but you would have to monsterize the car to make it work.

Well here is some advice from my failed attempts of racing. 1. Don't think because you can beat a few hondas here and there that you should race anything bigger 2. Make the accent look good before trying to achieve HP. The accent is a great little car to cruise around in, and its fun to drive, and peppy. Lower it, throw on some rims... and put in some nice speakers. You will be very happy you did. It doesn't hurt to make hyundai actually look good and stick out in a nice way. Besides you could always put on a basic cold air intake if you must mess with the motor. Like I said its basic, but its a start plus it sounds damn good!!! So I would have to agree with jerkitt... make it look good. But please, do not put neons in your front and rear window and make it look like an autozone ghetto mobile.:dead:
