LC (2000-2002) short shifter group

anyone know if the old 88 excels shifter will interchange with any newer accents...cause I want a short shifter pretty bad and cant find one for my car...I have the old car not the accent :ermm:

I checked the pics carefully and.... damn that thing could easily be turned on my CNC lathe (well, the shop's lathe)... I might give it a try, hell, it's gonna be free..... hehehe.

Steel or aluminium? Or even brass... hehe
