Default Modification of the H logo?

Sorry for this newbie question but I would like to know if there is a way to safely remove the front and the rear H logo?

I want to remove them, put some nice paint under the area where they are located and then put them back on.

I've seen some topic talking about removing different logos but I'm still unsure if the H are just glued on or if there is some screw there too... uzzled:

And what should I use to put them back on (what glue or product must be applied)?

Any ideas? Thx in advance!

It is held on with just glue. Take a hairdryer and heat the area. the emblem will then pull off easily. There are two little prongs on the back of the emblem, so you have to pull it straight out.

i'm pretty sure that any paint would be fine, provided it is strong and water resistant

... PRETTY sure...

how would you be modifying it, exactly? Will you be cutting parts of it out to change the shape, like I've seen done to the Mazda logo? Or just painting behind it? Is it rusty or chipped behind it? Or are you jsut changing the color behind the logo?

I just want to change the color behing the logo. I want to put blue paint behind the logo to make a nice contrast with the black color of my car. I'm thinking about using some touch-up paint to do this. And no i don't want to change the shape of the H; I like it like it is!

By the way thx for your answers!

I am still wondering what is the glue i must use when i put the logo back on? :ermm:

That's a pretty good idea, since they obviously DON'T make after market Hyundai H's.. :hmmm:

there's frikken Honda and Acura EVERY-frikken-where though!

I would say you could use any strong and water resistant glue

go to a hardware store, or wherever you would buy glue, and tell them what you're doing. They'll point you to exactly what you should use.
