Will 15x7" rims rub with 195/50-15 tires on an lc accent? I want to put the OZ Superleggas on my car and don't want them to rub. OR, do you think I should just get some Konig Heliums in bronze at 6.5" I don't want to have to roll my fenders or modify them in any way either.
I think 7" wide is just on the edge of having to modify for them to fit. If you want to be safe and not want to roll fenders and such, go with 6.5" rims. If you go over 7.5" you will definately have to modify.
PDM is located near me in Coquitlam, B.C. so shipping may be costly.
Yes i bought his rims, they are very nice. Can't wait to put them on. Just thinking ahead. I plan to run these till I get my coilovers on (i am not going to sell them, would make a good autocross rim:evil . I Might have coilovers by early next year.
Thanks for the imput i'll stick to the 6.5" konigs.
Ha, deecided to copy me: well at least my heliums will be silver.
The 6.5" will not give you any problems. I will let you know how they work on mine when i get them installed next week. The only difference is my car is lowered and you are stock. You gave a better chance of the rims rubbing on stock springs, since they are very soft.
rally..if and when you decide to get new rims.....keep me in mind if you dont have plans for the hyundai 14's.........i like em, i want em, you have the same car as me, and im jealous ... LOL just thought id put that out there now.....in case you ever, you know....re-coup some of the $ you put out for them. I'm in Massachusetts.....:
chris
edit: i need to read more closely....i missed the part where you said you wouldnt be selling them. regardless though, if you change your mind, drop me a line i might be interested

I have 15 by 7's on my Accent GL with a stock suspension setup. I have a 150 pound speaker/box in the trunk, plus the accessories that came with the car. I do get a little rubbing under hard cornering, and with my sons in the back, I found it rubs a lot more than I want. I temporarily added a spacer below the spring (a ring that sets between the spring and strut plate; it is anchored to both the strut and spring so they can't shift) in the rear to keep the rear end fron rubbing. I think if I put aftermarket springs that are stiffer, then rubbing won't be as bad.
