The slotted rotor actually provides better braking than regular rotors. under heavy braking, the pads stay cooler, which in turn keep the brake fluid cool enough to keep it from breaking down.

On a 2 ton car, stock brakes slow the car from 60 mph to 0 mph in about 190 feet. Slotted rotors reduce that length to 145-155 feet.

I bet the Accent would stop on a dime with the slotted brake setup.

Thanks guys. You'll be AMAZED by how easy the swap was when I post the how-to up.

Up next is the rear brakes (which will also be slotted Tib discs, just rear). Once those are done I'll do a 60-0 and see what I'm down to .

And BTW, it stops VERY nice now.

Do you have drums in the back right now?

I've been thinking of adding rear disc brake conversion to my wish list.

i dont really care to swap out the fronts ont he LC, since theyre already disc, nice swap though, and i hope the ease of swapping translates over to the LC.
