I am getting an Avital alarm installed soon from Best Buy. $219 installed.

And you should have posted this in the Sound and Security forum.

I have a sidewinder with so many extra toys(sensors, air horns, stobes, pager, Leds, and more I have probably put about 800 Us in to it nothing is unstealable but I think it is close. Personnal paging devices are nice because you know about it if someone triggers your alarm.

Hook the alarm starter relay wire to the starter wire from the ignition switch.

I sent him mail with all the info he needs to do most of the wiring for an alarm....pics inluded...8D:

As far as alarms go I went with BlackWidow, the model I initially purchased was $117, and came with all the standard features, but I know some people, so I called them up and go a better model that uses the same wiring harnesses but has all relays for the door locks/windows onboard (which reduces the amount of wiring by like 90%)...all for $30....

so I got a good deal, and I would rate the alarm 8/10 because I have installed it myself, and I've been able to add all sorts of extra stuff to it.
