I've heard about the back pressure needs on the accent and experienced it when I threw out my striaght threw exaust to a flowmaster....I can feel much more torque with the flowmaster.... Now begs the question would a 2" cat back throw it off....HIt me back if ne 1 else has done this and how it went
On a normally aspirated engine, the largest bore you should go for is 2.25". So, if you get a cat back 2.25" system, with whatever tailpipe design you fancy, you should notice a big difference.
What is the bore of the exhaust you have now?

If going with plans to Turbocharge, go with 2.25" or 2.5". If staying normally aspirated, go no higher then 2" or 2.25" if many other engine mods or running NOS.

Wouldn't a 2 inch exhaust running from the manifold back be even better? I would think this would be better than a 2 1/4th inch cat back system (however convincing a exhaust shop to do this will take some work).
