Re: 93 - 95 Scoupe Manifold and Stock turbo bolted up to a 02 1.5L SOHC Accent
I think the reason most people don`t go for a straight bolt-up (which will work) is due to the rarity of Scoupe Turbos.
The chances of finding one at a breakers, especially with a good turbo, must be very slim!. The Garrett T 15 on this car is sealed-for-life, is not servicable & is very small, giving the stock car only 115 bhp., so many tuners go for a bigger turbo, although the GT15 & all T2 series bolt-up.
Bear in mind there is a lot more than just the turbo & manifold you will want from the donor car....you`ll need the ECU, the wastegate control system, the up-pipe & Bosch idle-control equipment & quite a bit more!.
It`s also worth remembering that the Scoupe Turbo had special pistons (7.5:1 c.r.) with under-crown cooling oil-jets & the gearbox had a higher 5th. gear/final drive ratio.
I hope this helps, as there is probably more work involved than you think......especially as you really need to source & fit an intercooler & oil cooler!.
Cheers, Nick.
