Default Strut Braces for 1.6 DOHC Accent (2000-2002) now available

Hi guys,

Some of you may remember a few months ago when we were looking at front alloy strut braces for the LC Accent 1.6 DOHC. To keep a long story short, the ones that we had over here fit the LC Accent 1.5 DOHC, but had a clearance problem on the LC Accent 1.6 DOHC as the throttle body sits a bit closer to the firewall on the 1.6 (if you are bored, you can always read up on it at http://www.hyundaiperformance.com/forums/topic.php?t=20158&p=1)

The good news is the strut braces are now available for the 1.6 DOHC LC Accent. The first shipment is coming in 2-3 weeks time. To ensure there are no problems with these bars, we will ship one to a customer in the USA first to be fitted and give us some feedback before shipping the balance of the orders.

If anyone is interested in purchasing one, we are taking pre-orders at a price of A$160 each (approx US$107) including shipping via Australia Post air mail (10-14 days for delivery). The usual price is A$180 plus shipping of A$49 for air mail, saving A$69 (approx US$46) each. A deposit of A$80 will be required when you place your order, and the balance of A$80 before we then ship the strut brace.

If you are interested, please drop me a line at info@PerformanceStylingCentre.com.au, and title your email 'HP.com strut brace offer'.

Cheers

Bretton

hell yeah I'm interested to see if those will fit on my LC2 1.6. That's one of my first planned things to buy was a strut brace and 100 bux american is a good price if it fits my car. 8D

But, I've seen some strut tower braces that you could flex with your hands. If these are more for show than function then I won't consider it. If it is in fact a very solid and sturdy piece then I'll have to watch my money so I can afford to get one.

question Bretton: have there been any mods to the strut bar since the one that I used? not that there is any problem, but there is desiered improvement on the brackets.

and for anyone interested, if the ones that Bretton is offering are the same as the one that I tested for him, then they do -not- flex. Believe me, I've tried.

Wow, a little pricey for me. Sorry, I will have to pass and wait for a cheaper version made by Vibrant or someone similiar.

Dear lord you people make me sick. First you whine about not having parts. Then someone comes out with a HIGH QUALITY piece, and you whine its too good and too expensive. I bascially have the bar in question on my car, it DOES NOT FLEX. The car handles so much better with it. It is worth every penny of the ~US$107 that bar costs to purchase and ship here.
