Default Removing the extra break light (LC2)

Hi!

I´d like to remove that break light from inside the car because I have factory wing already containing break light. Only problem is that ugly hole where the light lies when you remove it.

Is there any solution to fill that hole or something? Thanks for the help.

Sorry my bad english, taking lessons already.

I havnt looked at the 03 but I think its probably the same light that I have on my 01. The hole should be about 1 inch tall and about 3 inches long right?.. you can cap it with fibreglass or some plastic bondo by putting a backing in the hole then filling and sanding it down but it will be apparent that you did this so if you are going for looks I wouldnt. You could also do what I did to fill in the holes that were left when I removed my rear seat belts, find a fender light (the little reflectors on most cars fenders) that fits in the hole and just stick it in It isnt functional but it fills the hole without leaving an apparent "scar" on the car. you could even wire it to your other trunk light so it lights up when you open the trunk giving you some extra light at night

i guess you've got the base model with an interior third lite.

i'd guess the upgraded model has an exterior third lite. might be worth checking if the upgraded model has the same interior plastic as yours, but with a plastic cap to fill in the third lite hole.

just guessing.

Yep I´m having GLS-model. What's the upgraded model you're talking about?

I believe theres a model with the factory spoiler on it and it wont have that light you just removed.. if you can get the trunk panel OEM style you may just be able to replace the panel and get a nice clean look with no hole or extra light.

I like the idea of using the hole to give the trunk more light. If you ever sit around parking lots showing off your car or system you can slap a black light in that hole and when the trunk is open you'll have black light shining down into the car

just ideas....

On the oem spoiler kits, there is a cover that fills in the holes when the inside high mount brake light is removed.

I checked out spoilers when I had my 01 Accent, and they had the covers then. I have a oem spoiler on my Elantra and it also has the cover where the light should be.

the accents with factory spoilers dont have the 3rd breaklight in the back window and have a diffrent rear panel with no hole... theres no cover where the 3rd light would be. so just get a rear panel that dosnt have the 3rd breaklight hole.
