Fitting 6 by 9's in a X3 Excel - Hyundai Performance Forums

Can it be done? I've seen a few pictures around but they look like they have different rear shelves in them! i want to fit them in the rear shelf, but if there is another easier way, id like to hear it! X)

i know people have installed them on the trunk cover... or whatever it's called...

the part that lifts inside when you open the trunk hatch.

that's where I put mine in my '90 Excel. They work

and look damn nice

I made a sound board to take a pair of 6"x9"`s & fixed it with Velcro to the vertical panel below the rear seat squabs.....it runs the width of the cabin & is shaped to fit over the central tunnel. It`s sprayed to match the interior & edged with black vinyl trim.
The speakers are simply connected to the stock rear pair & it sounds great!.
It takes up hardly any of the rear foot-space at all!.
