as long as my front end is junk (due to a very unfortunate incident involving about 45mph and a curb) i figured i would do some upgrading. i am in need of lower control arms and a sway bar so far. has anyone tried other control arms on their car? and i do remember a while back some mention of tibby parts to convert to rear disc. anyone done this in the front or the rear? other additions i was planning were much needed struts (72000mi is enuf torture) and some drop springs maybe, maybe 16's (i have 15's now) please post any info or suggestions here or feel free to email me at accent_r@charter.net

get the control arm from the dealer

I have done the same thing on my 1997 accent GT on the passenger side.

The dealer price isnt bad, and is the only place you can get a control arm as no aftermarket suppliers are out there for this kind of part.

Great thing is: The control arm comes with a new ball joint Pre-installed, and the rubber bushings and such you will need.

If you are doing the replacement yourself, go get a rent-a-bay with air tools. You will likely need some heat too (torch) to help get the big nasty bolt out. Hopefully cause your car is newer it won't be too rusty or hard to get out - but that bolt is a B!tch.

That is, if its the same as the 1997. I think there are some small differences which may make it a bit easier.
