Default same chassis code for different years?

I am looking for a 90ish excel 4 door.

my question is this:

Is the chassis the same from an 87(ugly as sin) to a 94(better looking, but still ugly)
i know the body is different, but is the floor pan/front and rear suspension the same?

can i take parts from a 94(suspension) and bolt them into the 88? or is there a split in the years?(e.g. 1st, 2nd generation)

i am a newbie to hyundai's and would like to know alot more, any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

X1 = 86-89 Excel
X2 = 90-94 Excel
X3 = 95-99 Accent
LC = 00-02 Accent
LC2 = 03 Accent

I think it's a semi-independent setup. It's similar to the rear suspension on VWs, with trailing arms and a twist beam. However, I'm not positive whether the Excel's is a semi- or fully independent setup.
